Aunt Lute author ire’ne lara silva was a guest on radio show Words on a Wire. Words on a Wire, a program featured on El Paso NPR radio station KTEP 88.5 FM, is a show about fiction, poetry, the writing community, the publishing world and other issues that concern literary writers and readers of books.

In an intimate conversation with host Tim Z. Hernandez, silva reflects on her portrayal of the body as a manifestation of emotion, geography, and community. Focusing on her poetry collection Blood Sugar Canto the interview delves into the idea of writing as a sacred introspection of healing and illness.
