Beautiful and Dark Enthusiastically Received at Tsunami Books Reading

As this University of Oregon news post noted, Adrienne Mitchell’s recent reading from her translation of Beautiful and Dark was enthusiastically received at a standing room only evening event. Mitchell has described Montero’s writing as “alive,” “visceral,” and “sparkling,” and the news post noted that Mitchell’s translation was just that: “stirring, moving, and exquisitely dark.” Mitchell read alongside other translators from Eugene, Oregon at Tsunami Books.
