Join editor Piyali Bhattacharya at American University at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, February 8, as she reads from the book and discusses the cultural, political, and social burdens (along with the assorted hilarious moments) that come with being a South Asian American daughter. Award-winning poets ire’ne lara silva and Dan Vera have assembled the work of 54 writers who reflect on the complex terrain—the deeply felt psychic, social, and geopolitical— borderlands that Gloria Anzaldúa inhabited, theorized, explored, and invented.
